Power over Ethernet
The UniFi AC supports power over Ethernet, which allows it to deliver the needed power on the same cable that delivers throughput toward the access point. This then makes device less dependent on outlets, which may be scarce around the outdoors and gives more flexibility to setting up or modifying the network.
The device may be mounted on the wall as well as on the ceiling. Both provide more stability to the setup, especially to the device itself. The needed brackets and accessories for mounting are included in the bundle. The LED provision ring, on the other hand, is ideal for proper monitoring of the status of the device regardless of where it’s placed or mounted.
Reliable and Superior Internet Connection
The UniFi AC runs on 3x3 MIMO technology, which helps broadcast the Internet signal without delaying or reducing the quality of the Internet throughput. This access point has a range of up to 400 feet, which is great for campus or small office settings. The device fully supports 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac protocols, which means it is scalable and ready to accept any WiFi signal. It also has a dual-band operation at 450 Mbps for 2.4GHz and an astonishing 1,3 Gbps for 5GHz. You can now conveniently move from one band to another depending on which one has the least interference and the best throughput.
The device runs on non-dedicated controller software that can be installed in either Mac or Windows. It lets you gain more control over the use and settings of the access point and certain portions of the network.
